The Founders
Sefia Tutors is a founder led tutoring practice built around clarity, structure, and calm guidance. All instruction is led directly by us.
We work with a limited number of students so we can stay closely involved, communicate clearly with families, and adjust the plan as progress happens.Families usually find us when the process starts to feel noisy. Too many opinions, too many strategies, and not enough clarity.
Our job is to simplify the path, build a real plan, and help students grow with consistency and confidence.

Between the two of us, we bring more than 30 years of tutoring experience and a complementary approach that covers both sides of academic preparation.
Paul is the numbers guy. With a background in Production Engineering, he has a gift for untangling the knottiest math problem and making it feel simple and doable. Yes, he still gets excited about fractions. Someone has to.
Lucy comes from a Chemical Engineering background and found her stride guiding students through reading, writing, and test strategy. She’s especially tuned in to how students think, where confidence tends to slip, and what small shifts help things click.
Together, math and English are covered. Think peanut butter and jelly, just with homework.
