SAT Tutoring
for Students
Starting Below 1200

A score below 1200 does not mean a student lacks ability. It tells us where the work needs to begin.
We help students identify the specific Math, Reading, and Writing skills costing them points, then build a preparation plan around the student’s baseline, timeline, and target score.

Every student begins with a proctored Digital SAT mock exam. We review section scores, module difficulty, missed questions, timing patterns, and skill gaps. Families receive a detailed diagnostic report so the starting point is clear.

Tutoring is organized around the student’s actual gaps rather than a fixed workbook sequence.
Math and Reading and Writing instruction, homework, test dates, and score goals are connected in one plan. Progress is tracked, and the plan is adjusted as new mock and official scores become available.

Students are expected to complete approximately five hours of independent practice each week. Monthly proctored mock exams show whether that practice is translating into points, whether timing is improving, and which skills still need attention.

We also help families think through test dates, retakes, superscoring, college goals, and scholarship considerations. Sefia Tutors is based in New Jersey and provides personalized online Digital SAT and PSAT tutoring to students across the United States.
